Måneskin are an Italian rock band from Rome, comprising of lead vocalist Damiano David, bass player Victoria De Angelis, guitarist Thomas Raggi and drummer Ethan Torchio. Formed in 2016 when they met at high school in Montverde, Måneskin took part in The X Factor Italy the following year, finishing second while being mentored by Manuel Agnelli. Måneskin won the contest with their song Zitti e buoni (which directly translates to Shut Up and Behave), scoring 524 points. Måneskin's Eurovision win was Italy's first since 1990 when Toto Cutugno was champion with Insieme: 1992. Not including Damiano David, the rest of Måneskin's members became the first artists born in the 21st century to win the Eurovision Song Contest. Zitti e buoni peaked at Number 17 on the UK's Official Singles Chart, giving Måneskin the highest-charting Eurovision winning song in six years since Mans Zelmerlow's Heroes reached Number 11 in 2015. Måneskin then scored a second UK Top 40 single with I Wanna Be Your Slave which went viral on TikTok. Zitti e buoni and I Wanna Be Your Slave feature on Måneskin's second studio album Teatro d'ira: Vol. I which peaked at Number 1 in Italy and went Top 5 on the UK's Official Rock & Metal Albums Chart.
