
Fisherman's Friends are an English male singing group from Port Isaac, Cornwall, who specialise in singing sea shanties. Fisherman’s Friends’ current line-up consists of brothers John & Jeremy Brown, John Lethbridge, Billy Hawkins, Jason Nicholas, Toby Lobb, John McDonnell, Pete Hicks and Jon Cleave. Fisherman’s Friends got their big break after BBC Radio 2 DJ Johnnie Walker chanced upon a couple of the outfit’s CDs while on holiday in Cornwall, and convinced his manager to help them get a recording deal. Fisherman’s Friends’ album, Port Isaac’s Fisherman’s Friends gave them their chart debut in April 2010.
