Taylor Swift looks set to take 1989 (Taylor’s Version) back to the top of the Official Albums Chart this week. 

The record, which spent three consecutive weeks at Number 1 on its release in November 2023, currently leads the pack midweek and is the first of seven Taylor LPs likely to land inside this week’s Top 40: her other entries set to come courtesy of 2017’s reputation (9), 2022’s Midnights (10), 2019 release Lover (11), 2020 collections folklore (14) and evermore (26) and the original 2014 1989 LP (39).

ABBA’s Gold: Greatest Hits compilation could climb to its highest position since 2008 (3), as Olivia Rodrigo’s former Number 1 LP GUTS looks to rebound back into the Top 5 (5). 

As he tracks to claim his first-ever Official Number 1 single with Stick Season, Noah Kahan’s album of the same name eyes up a return to its Number 6 peak, while Fleetwood Mac’s hits collection 50 Years – Don’t Stop lifts back into the midweek Top 10 (7). 

Other midweek gainers include Michael Jackson’s The Essential, lifting eight places since Friday (18), Post Malone’s The Diamond Collection, also up eight (19) Ed Sheeran’s ÷ (Divide), expected to jump 12 (24), and Joel Corry’s Another Friday Night, set to vault 27 spots back into the Top 40 (27).

On New Year’s Eve Lewis Capaldi announced a surprise release of new music in the form of an extended edition of his album featuring five new tracks. As such, the Scottish singer/songwriter is expecting two entries in Friday’s Albums Chart; debut album Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent could rebound back into the Top 40, up 16 midweek (30), while Broken By Desire to Be Heavenly Sent (60) is expected to climb as the week progresses.  

And finally, Elvis Presley’s ELV1S: 30 #1 Hits is set to lift 13 places (35).
