Benson Boone tops Official Trending Chart with Beautiful Things

Today, Benson Boone tops the Official Trending Chart with his breakthrough single, Beautiful Things.

Co-written by Benson with Jack LaFrantz and the song's producer Evan Blair (who also helped mould Dove Cameron's game-changing single Boyfriend), Beautiful Things is stirring folk-rock mid-tempo ballad all about, as Benson said himself, "the meaning of life" and the "volatility of happiness."

Already the Washington native's first-ever UK Top 20 single, Beautiful Things hit Number 11 last Friday and is set to fly higher, further and faster this week; it's (finally) predicted to enter the Top 10 of the Official Singles Chart, currently at Number 8.

Prior to this, Benson earned his first career entry in the UK Top 40 on 2022's In The Stars (21), while 2021's Ghost Town peaked just outside the Top 40, at Number 46.

Another track looking for a big uplift is YG Marley's debut single Praise Jah in The Moonlight, which is on track to reach a brand new peak of Number 12, with a breakout Top 10 entry seeming inevitable in the coming weeks. 

This week's big gainers on the Official Trending Chart come from Justin Timberlake's scintillating comeback track Selfish, UK Duo Good Neighbours' Home and Campbell & Alcemist's Would You (Go To Bed With Me), undergoing something of a resurgence at the moment. 

We also have two brand new entries on the Official Trending Chart today; Don Toliver's Bandit and Nathan Dawe's latest, We Ain't Here For Long.
