Scared To Start is the second single from US singer Michael Marcagi.
Previewing first on TikTok in November 2023 where it gained popularity, the single was released 12 January 2024 via Warner Records. Scared To Start first entered the UK Official Singles Chart on 19 January, embarking on a steady ascent ten-week ascent up into the Top 10.
Speaking about Scared To Start, Michael Marcagi told Holler Magazine “I wrote it about a relationship, and just feeling consumed with someone and not taking notice of the outside world. It’s about not doing what the world is telling you to do – like the lyric ‘live out of cars and bars’. When you’re so wrapped up in love, you have this feeling of, ‘I don’t care what we do. I just want to go for what I believe in.”
The Ohio native previously fronted heavy rock band Heavy Hours.
