EASY ON ME

Everyone was anticipating the return of Adele, but her big comeback track Easy On Me both subverted and exceeded expectations. The tender piano ballad was released on October 15 2021 and earned the highest week one figure for a song since Ed Sheeran’s Shape Of You. It holds the record for the most streams of a song in a single week in the UK, and spent eight non-consecutive weeks at Number 1, holding on at the top for its first seven weeks, and returning to Number 1 in January 2022. Easy On Me was the 12th biggest song of 2021.
Easy One Me was co-written and produced by Greg Kurstin (who’d also worked with the London-born singer on her previous chart-topper, 2015’s Hello, and album 25) with whom Adele had already won three Grammy Awards and two BRIT Awards. They added a further two accolades with Easy On Me claiming Song Of The Year at the BRITs and Best Pop Solo Performance at the 2022 Grammys.
