Years & Years are on course to rule this week’s singles chart with their new single King.

King is currently nearly 32,000 copies ahead of its nearest competitor, Ellie Goulding’s Love Me Like You Do (2).

The dance trio, who won this year’s BBC Sound Of 2015 poll, entered the Top 40 last December with Desire and scored a Top 10 featuring on Magician’s Sunglight.

Elsewhere, Marlon Roudette is on track to make his Top 5 debut on Sunday with the steel drum infused When The Beat Drops Out (3). Speaking about the release, Marlon recently told OfficialCharts.com, “I’m nervously excited to see what happens. I'm cautiously optimistic.”

Up one place to Number 4 is Rihanna, Kanye West and Paul McCartney’s collaboration FourFiveSeconds, followed by Hozier’s Take Me To Church at 5.

New entries and high climbers

British producer Alex Adair is a new entry at Number 8 with Make Me Feel Better. The 21-year-old has previously remixed tracks by Ella Henderson, Ed Sheeran and Jessie Ware.

Meanwhile, Taylor Swift climbs nine places to Number 19 with Style, and Kanye West’s All Day FT Theophilus London, Allan Kingdom and Paul McCartney enters at 21 mid-week following a performance of the track at last week’s BRIT Awards.

Finally, climbing 40 places to re-enter the Top 40 today is Imagine Dragons’ Demons (20). The track was performed by The Voice contestants Stevie McCrorie and Tim Arnold during the battle rounds of the BBC show at the weekend.
