The winner of this year's series of The Voice UK will not release a winner's single.

Instead, the victor will work on new collection of songs which will be released a few weeks after the final this Sunday (April 2).

This weekend will see the final four contestants - Jamie Miller, Mo, Michelle John and Into The Ark - battle it out for a record deal with Polydor Records.

After the winner is crowned, their final song will be added across all platforms including Spotify, iTunes and Apple Music for fans to enjoy.

The champion will then go in to the studio to start work on their 'Winner’s EP' which will be released in a few weeks’ time alongside the broadcast of an ITV special, called The Winner's Story. More details on the Winner's EP will follow.

Last year's Voice victor Kevin Simm reached Number 24 on the Official Singles Chart with his winner's single All You Good Friends - the only original winner's single from the show.

2015's winner Stevie McCrorie has the highest-charting winner's single from a Voice winner - a cover of Maroon 5's Lost Stars peaked at 6 in April that year.

A cover of Maroon 5's Lost Stars? A cover of ADAM LEVINE'S Lost Stars. They might as well credit everything just to Adam now though, considering they currently sound like an Adam Levine solo project
