The Saturdays' Mollie King announces debut solo single Back To You - listen

Mollie King has announced details of her debut solo single, called Back To You.

The Saturdays' star revealed news of her first single away from the group on her Twitter page, confirming its release for this Friday (August 19) via Island Records.

Back To You was co-written by Mollie along with Rob Persuad (Lady Gaga, Jay Sean) and helmed by production duo The Blueprint. 

"It’s a very personal song to me," Mollie said. "A lot of my writing inspiration has come from what I’ve been through over the last couple of years.

"In a band it’s sometimes difficult to write about personal experiences because there's a lot of members. My solo material is the kind of music that I love, stylistically this is me and I'm saying things that I want to say."

As part of The Saturdays, Mollie has notched up 18 Top 40 hits on the Official Singles Chart, including the Number 1 hit What About Us. Click here to look back at the group's full chart history.
