Taylor Swift will be presented with the Global Icon award at this year's BRIT Awards.
Taylor will be the first female artist to receive the BRITs' highest accolade - previous recipients are Elton John, Robbie Williams and David Bowie.
The star will be honoured with the award at this year's ceremony, which takes place on Tuesday, 11 May, in recognition of her undeniable impact on music across the world. Taylor is currently the UK's biggest selling artist of 2021 so far, according to Official Charts Company data.

Just a few of her other achievements in her 17-year career include winning the Grammy for Album of the Year three times, selling over 114 million albums globally, and being the first and only female artist in the 21st century to score seven Number 1 studio albums in the UK, most recently with her re-recorded Fearless (Taylor's Version) LP.
This year’s BRIT Awards will take place at London's O2 arena and is broadcast on ITV from 8pm, hosted by Jack Whitehall. Check out this year's full list of nominees here.
Artist confirmed to perform at event are: Arlo Parks, Coldplay, Dua Lipa, Griff (this year’s Rising Star award winner), Headie One, Olivia Rodrigo, and Rag’n’Bone Man & P!nk with the Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust Choir.
