Star Wars: The Force Awakens eyes third week at Official Video Chart Number 1

Plus there are new entries from Daddy's Home, Line Of Duty and more in this week's chart update.

Everyone still cannot get enough of Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

The fastest-selling DVD/Blu-Ray release of 2016 so far, the sci-fi epic is set for a third week at Number 1, we can today reveal in the Official Video Chart Update.

The Force Awakens has shifted 64,000 copies at the midweek stage, outselling its nearest rival by two copies to one. If it can hold onto the lead, it will be the first video release since Insurgent in August 2015 to score three consecutive weeks at Number 1.

New Entries and High Climbers

New in at 2 this week is Will Ferrell comedy Daddy's Home while another new entry In the Heart of the Sea looks to debut at 3. Ant-Man climbs one place to Number 4 and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part II completes the Top 5.

After the release of Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Age of Ultron jumps 9 places to Number 6. Maggie Smith's The Lady In The Van looks to spent a ninth week in the Top 10 at 8 and Spectre climbs two places to round out the Top 10.

More Marvel films climb within the Top 30: Captain America: Winter Soldier is up nine places to 12, Guardians of the Galaxy rises 12 places to 15 and Captain America: The First Avenger jumps 32 places to 30.

Four further new entries also appear in the Top 40. Line of Duty - Series 1-3 debuts at 17, with the standalone Series 3 beginning at 22. Dinnerladies - The Complete Collection starts at 29 following Victoria Wood's death, and The Timber is new at 35.
