Paddington 2 is heading for a second week at Number 1 on the Official Video Chart.

After logging an impressive 332,000 DVD and Blu-ray sales last week to become 2018's fastest-selling DVD release so far, the movie has shifted another 55,000 units over the first three days of this week's sales window.

Outselling the rest of the Top 5 combined on today's Official Chart Update, the Ben Whishaw-starring family film based on Michael Bond's classic children's stories is all but set for a second week at Number 1, but a brand new entry is snapping at its heels.

Daddy's Home 2 starring Mel Gibson, Will Ferrell and John Lithgow is at Number 2 in today's midweek sales flash, former Number 1 Thor: Ragnarok slides one place to 3, and another previous chart topper Murder on the Orient Express slips a position to Number 4.

New entries and high climbers

Marine drama Rex featuring a corporal combat dog barks its way to Number 7, one place ahead of biographical romance Film Stars Don't Die in Liverpool, based on the true love story between actor Gloria Grahame and her young lover Peter Turner (8).

A double pack of Daddy's Home and Daddy's Home 2 lands at Number 18, while a price promotion sends the former Official Video Chart Number 1 The Boss Baby back into the Top 40 to Number 25.

WWE: Royal Rumble 2018, which featured the very first 30 Woman Royal Rumble match is a new entry at Number 26, and finally, Joseph Fiennes World War II movie Wings of Eagles is a prospective new entry at 28.
