Now 90 becomes the UK's fastest-selling album of 2015 so far

The latest Now compilation becomes the UK's fastest-seller of the year to date.

The latest installment of the hugely successful Now That’s What I Call Music! franchise, Now 90, has become the fastest selling album of 2015 so far in the UK.

According to the Official Charts Company’s sales data, The compilation has sold an impressive 264,000 copies this week.

Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds' Chasing Yesterday remains the fastest selling artist album of 2015, which sold more than 89,000 copies during its first week of release March. Today, Now 90 lands in pole position on the Official Compilation Albums Chart, while last week's chart-topper Move On Up -The Very Best Of Northern Soul slips to 3. 

Now 90’s predecessor, Now That’s What I Call Music 89, was the fastest selling album of 2014. Released in November last year, Now 89 has now sold 1.13m copies in the UK according to the Official Charts Company’s sales data.

Elsewhere on the chart, Throw Back - Old Skool Anthems is new at Number 2, the Sing Your Heart Out compilation lands at Number 5, and The Fast & Furious 7 movie soundtrack vaults 74 to 15. The only other new entry in this week's Top 40 is The World's Favourite Worship Songs, which debuts at Number 15.
