New girl band unperfect up the ante on their new track I'm A Dreamer: Music video premiere

The beginning of 2019 saw the long-overdue launch of a new girl band. unperfect (always spelled in lower case, FYI), comprises of Chloe, Siobhan, Soipan and Tiah.

unperfect put themselves together but their music is the creation of Brian Higgins and Xenomania, the production outfit behind all of Girls Aloud's hits, plus singles for Sugababes, Kylie and loads more.

Following their debut EP Yeah, Why Not, - led by the chilled, R&B-flecked song Gots To Give The Girl - the quartet are back and have teamed up with with Robinsons Fruit Shoot for a new track in this week's New Music Friday, called I'm A Dreamer.

The song ups the ante from their EP with vibrant and punchy electropop beats, while lyrically it's about believing in yourself. The group explain: "The lyrics of the song came from our experiences of sometimes second-guessing ourselves, or having other people second-guess us.

"We are only human, it’s natural to worry that things might not work out or feel deflated when other people don’t have the same vision we do. But the overall message of the song is about being confident enough to push through it and keep believing in ourselves.”

Their message is conveyed best in I'm A Dreamer's adorable accompanying music video, which sees a young girl living out her dream of becoming a music video director. Watch below:
