Lil Nas X scores UK’s Number 1 trending song with That’s What I Want
Lil Nas X flies straight in at Number 1 on the UK’s Official Trending Chart with new single That’s What I Want.
Boosted by its music video, the song has racked up just short of a million streams across the weekend, and currently sits at Number 10 midweek Official Singles Chart – set to become Lil Nas X’s fourth UK Top 10.
That’s What I Want has proven an immediate favourite track from Lil Nas X’s debut album Montero – named after himself – which also includes headline-grabbing chart-topper Montero (Call Me By Your Name) and Top 10 hit Industry Baby ft. Jack Harlow.
Featuring tracks influenced by a broad range of genres, Montero is leading the Official Albums Chart midweek, though it’s close at the top - see this week’s Official Albums Chart Update here.

Meanwhile, Taylor Swift’s Wildest Dreams (Taylor’s Version) – released earlier than expected thanks to the original going viral on TikTok – is also set for a big first week as it lands third on this week’s Trending Chart.
Other new entries making an impact include Bring Me The Horizon’s heavy new offering DiE4u, the latest taster of their Post Human project, and Who’s True by Tion Wayne, Jae5 and Davido - taken from Tion’s newly released debut album Green With Envy.
More tracks making waves this week include Ewan McVicar's Tell Me Something Good, and Talamanca by DJ/producer Burns, which are both up 23 places on the Official Singles Chart Top 100 midweek.
