Lady Gaga, Nirvana, The Beatles and The Black Keys are among some of the many artists contributing to Black Friday - a new initiative to help push the sales of vinyl collectables in the run-up to Christmas. It comes hot on the heels of new figures from the Official Charts Company that revealed vinyl album sales are at a six year high.

Around 150 independent retailers have agreed to take part in the UK’s first ever Black Friday, which will take place on Friday, November 25. Some of the collectables on offer include Black Keys hotly anticipated new single 'Lonely Boy' on 12" vinyl, a 7" picture disc of Lady Gaga's 'Marry The Night', 'Nevermind - The Singles' - a box set of four 10” EPS from Nirvana, and The Beatles' 'The Singles' - a box set of four 7" newly-remastered, picture sleeve singles in a metal tin.

"Black Friday is all about highlighting vinyl in the run-up to Christmas," said Black Friday UK’s coordinator Spencer Hickman. "The Black Keys are one of the most important and credible bands around right now, so it's great they have decided to endorse Black Friday in this way.”
