It's a Taylor takover: Midnights (The Til Dawn Edition) tracks head for Top 10, but good news for Dua Lipa and Kylie Minogue

The release of Midnights (The Til Dawn Edition) could send three Taylor Swift tracks into the Top 10. Plus J Hus, Switch Disco and Jazzy.

Taylor Swift is making moves for an Official Singles Chart takeover this week with a three tracks from the newly-released Midnights (The Til Dawn Edition) heading for the Top 10.

Leading the pack is Karma, looking to rise a massive 65 places to Number 2 following the release of its Ice Spice remix. It could be followed by a new entry from fan favourite Hits Different (8) and Snow On The Beach feat. Lana Del Rey (10), which gets a boost from a re-recording featuring additional Lana vocals in a full verse.

But Taylor still is no match for the miraculous might of Calvin Harris and Ellie Goulding. Miracle is on track for an eighth week at Number 1 in the UK.

J Hus is looking to secure the highest new entry on Friday, with It’s Crazy heading for Number 6 in what could become his fourth UK Top 10 entry.

This Barbie is making a hit! Dua Lipa’s Dance The Night, taken from the soundtrack of Greta Gerwig’s forthcoming film Barbie is looking to debut at Number 16.

The Padamic is far from over. Following rapturous reception to its chart debut on Friday, Kylie Minogue’s Padam Padam could move up in its second week, possibly even cracking the Top 20 (18).

Oh dear, not Kylie & Madonna fans at each other’s throats. Why do people feel the need to pit two incredibly talented women against each other? It’s pretty ridiculous.

Im not surprised to see kylie entering the top 20, she has had some clever marketing behind her this past few years. From drip feeding formats like Extended Mixes & physical formats to gargantuan numbers of album formats. Shes playing it safe and tapping into her core market rather than trying to capture younger fans which pretty much switch off from legacy acts. Shes also benefitting from Madonna's immense success with tiktok. Note how the single is practically 2 minutes long. But after losing it in the 90's & late 00's and becoming a no go act to follow, BMG have pretty much resurrected her from nowhere by aiming her past few albums squarely at her core market, gays over 40. I just wish she wouldnt thank them by playing private gigs in Dubai where being homosexual is illegal. Now thats not good marketing.

But it's okay for Madonna to play The United Arab Emirates. Kylie has been a lot more successful in the UK in last good few years. Madonna releases albums on numerous editions another one out of her remix cd ( more like a greatest hits remix cd) immensely successful ticktock🤔she has only had one top 100 hit in the UK in the last eight years which got to 87. Her last two albums in the UK have only gone silver hardly groundbreaking. Just the tour now well the dates she won't cancel and hope she can stay in tune lol

Oh wow! Salty kylie stans getting brave! Lol first off Madonna played to paying fans! Not emirate royalty who set those disgusting anti LGBT rules! And if we're talking about success LOL Madonna had a top 3 remix album last year that has just broke the UK record for weeks on chart. 29 to be precise. And has sold around 85000 copies when you factor in streaming. With zero promo or new music. It also topped the charts in seversl countries and peaked inside the top 5 of a myriad of others! It also hit number 1 in Australia making Madonna THE only female there with a number 1 album in 5 decades. Kylie wont as shes failed to top the charts there in the 80's. Madonna's last three 'unofficial' remix singles have sold equivilent to Gold certification in streams & downloads, and we're talking the US and global here, not just the small UK market. Because in case you need reminding, Madonna is global, not local. Should i remind you of where Kylies last remix album landed on the back of her ill fated X comeback??? I wont bother! Far from being the failure you like to paint her to be, Madonna is still riding high and does not need 1 UK top 40 hit to prove otherwise. Her last 2 studio albums may have peaked at number 2 in the UK but both shifted more copies than Kylies last efforts globally and made gold in the UK despite infamous leaks and chart battles with Bruce Springsteen on fathers day! Kylie is riding a wave of luck and good marketing. Cheesily aiming her music at her core market and churning out soulless albums for her core fan base. Padam is a novelty record. Anything else just flops. As for formats, Rebel Heart had just 4, Madame X, 5 and FEL 6. Her tour will set records infact it already has. I wont wait for Kylies to do the same 😬😂

So much truth on one post. I love seeing fans like Mathew Northcote get shoved back in their box. lol

Her last two studio albums have been number one in the UK . Madame X and FEL have gone silver in the UK, X has gone platinum hardly a failure. Madonna last three studio albums have sold less than Kylie in the UK. Kylie remix album was not a remix of all her career just a a few years before so a big difference and Kylie has number one albums in 5 decades in the UK Madonna has not had a number one album in the UK in over a decade and as far as the far East she still played in a country where homophobia is illegal and 95% of the people support that and Kylie didn't play to the leaders she played New years and members of the public were there. FEL has sold 67,000 in the UK streaming is included in the chart not added on after.

I like making you mad too when I bring up Madonna only one top 100 hit since LFL in the UK to Kylie's 7 lol.

I actually like Kylie, but she wouldnt be where she is were it not for Madonna leading the pack! The only reason shes still on chart and acting in this latest video is because of Madonna extending the shelf life of every female after her! And lets be honest, on chart Kylie is no match for Madonna regardless of where this single lands! Madonna's back catalogue is finally getting the attention it deserves with historic releases of singles & albums to streaming and that is where her and Warners focus currently lies. Lets be honest Kylie has been living off her back catalogue for years releasing a hits collection every 2 minutes! Lol

Madonna will bounce back she always does. Shes just enjoying the fruits of her labour and adding yet more sales to her tally in the UK which see's her comfortably ahead of Kylie to claim the title as the UK's most successful female chart and touring act. In fact shes just had 3 albums re certified in the UK & US. The immaculate Collection is 11 times platinum in the US & 12 times platinum in the UK. And thats just for starters. When all her music is re certified no doubt she'll sign a new deal and off she'll go. Music is in her MDNA

Not sure where your figures are from but you're truly deluded! According to the BPI FEL has sold combined sales of 85000 copies, (75000 physical) and its spent a record breaking 29 weeks on chart. Rebel Heart has sold over 450'000 copies in the UK which is more than Kiss Me Once or Golden. Madame X is Silver at last count with over 309'000 combined copies sold. Similar to Disco which needed 21 variations to achieve that feet! X was a commercial flop. It failed to top the charts, had no number 1 hit single or sell as many copies as Madonna's Hard Candy which was released the year prior. Boombox WAS a remix album that landed at number 26 and vanished.

Im not mad hun. You must be because you keep repeating it! And Thats nothing to be proud of.... a slew of low charting singles 😬 in the UK only? 😂😂😂😂😂

Kylie has released twice the albums Madonna has this past decade. But then Madonna does have 63 top 10 hits, 13 UK number 1 singles, 73 top 40 hits and 12 number 1 albums. Whilst her focus is very much on her back catalogue (Kylie knows all about that!), no doubt she'll be releasing new music soon, to the global platform. X

I don't know where you get your number from Rebel Heart has only gone gold in the UK and has sold 130,000 in the UK. I subscribe to music week magazine the official charts magazine and it has sold nowhere near 450,000 I the UK and if Madame X has sold 309,000 copies how is it only silver it was only in the charts 5 weeks lol delusional much.So if a album doesn't top the chart it's a flop lol X went platinum so it's not a flop and by your way of thinking most albums are flops then including some Madonna lol

avatar

Rebel Heart was last certified in the UK the year of its release after being certified gold for sales of over 155'000 copies. That does not include Ltd edition releases or streaming. Twice the volume of Kylies then album Kiss Me Once. In the 8 years since release it is eligible for platinum. 300'000 or over. Madame X again the last certification for this album was 2019, inc ltd editions sold post release & streaming it is now eligible for gold. Music week you say?? And where do their figures come from? Lol the record companies who put forward their statistics. MDNA likewise has sold in excess of 250'000 copies. Its last certification was the year of its release 2012 but is eligible for platinum. Kylies last 3 studio albums have barely scraped silver

Besides this 'conversation' is a bit null & void. At over 26'000'000 albums certified Madonna is the UK's biggest selling albums & singles female artist. Kylies 15 studio albums plus 6 hits collections (seriously?), have barely amassed 10 million in the UK. And the only reason Madonna has no number 1 album this decade in the UK, is because, she hasnt released a studio album this decade. 🥴. But then i am communicating with an old Kylie stan. They who forget she only had 1 number 1 album in the 90's & 00's and probably nowhere else in the world. The only market keeping her afloat is the UK. The only place she can get a hit album. Madonna, pretty much anywhere. Shes global

Your ramblings aren't making anyone mad, love. If anything, you're making an exhibition of yourself by thinking a few top 100 hits in the UK have any real importance.

Do you not think that may be because the singing budgie has released more singles from more albums since 2015???? In total Kylie has released a gargantuan 24 singles since 2015 (to be precise) and barely any of those reached the lower top 75. Since 2015 Madonna has had in total just 4 'official' singles released, 2 from Rebel Heart, and only 2 from Madame X. But now she has a total of 5 top 100 hits since 2015 out of only 6 official released ... Living For Love, Medellin, Levitating with Dua Lipa, Popular & Vulgar ALL hit the top 100 with only Medellin missing the top 75. Statistically Madonna's chart success is more hit, than miss unlike Kylie who since 2015 has only achieved 7 top 100 hits out of 24 official singles released
