We reveal Kings Of Leon, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Biffy Clyro’s Official Top 10 most downloaded tracks!

Today, 90,000 of you will start to descend on the picturesque Seaclose Park for the now annual Isle Of Wight Festival. Boasting over 60 acts across four days - including headline performances from Biffy Clyro, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Kings Of Leon - it promises to be one of this summer’s hottest tickets.

OfficialCharts.com are proud to announce that we’ve teamed up Absolute Radio to bring you The Official Isle Of Wight Festival Chart Show. Hosted by Mark Crossley, the three-hour programme will reveal the most downloaded tracks by some of the biggest bands on this year’s bill, as well as the biggest selling digital singles by a host of classic UK and US acts who’ve graced the festival’s legendary stage over the years.

To whet your appetite, here’s Biffy Clyro, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Kings Of Leon‘s Official Top 10 biggest-selling digital downloads in the UK…

Biffy Clyro

Biffy Clyro are set to close proceedings tomorrow night, but what songs will feature in the Scottish rockers’ set? Well, if their top selling UK downloads are anything to go by, Simon Neil and the Johnston twins couldn’t go far wrong with a selection of singles from their fifth album, 2009’s Only Revolutions.

Biffy’s most downloaded track to date is Many Of Horror. It initially peaked at Number 20 on the Official Singles Chart in January 2010, but climbed up to Number 8 in December of that year as fans reacted against then X Factor winner Matt Cardle’s re-titled cover version, When We Collide.

Mountains, which is Biffy’s highest charting single to date – it peaked at Number 5 on the Official Singles Chart in 2008 - is Number 2 in our countdown, while Bubbles (3), The Captain (Number 4), and That Golden Rule (5) complete their Top 5.

Red Hot Chili Peppers

With a UK chart career spanning 24 years, Saturday’s headliners the Red Hot Chili Peppers pre-date the digital age. So, understandably the LA rockers’ most downloaded track of all time is a relative newbie in the grand scheme of things.

Dani California, which is taken from their 2006’s double album, Stadium Arcadium, tops their chart. It peaked at Number 2 on the Official Singles Chart in May of that year, and along with 2002’s By The Way (Number 5) it is their joint-highest charting single to date.

Under The Bridge, which is arguably the group’s most famous hit, is at Number 2 on our countdown. Taken from their now iconic 1991 album, Blood Sugar Sex Magik, Under The Bridge has charted in the UK on no less than four separate occasions over the years; it has also been covered by both UK girl group All Saints in 1998 (who took it to Number 1) and (sort of) by Diana Vickers, who used it as the soundbed for her 2010 single, My Wicked Heart. The title track of The Chilis’ 1999 Californication is at Number 3 , while another cut from Stadium Arcadium, Snow (Hey Oh), is at Number 4.

1 DANI CALIFORNIA RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS
2 UNDER THE BRIDGE RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS
3 CALIFORNICATION RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS
4 SNOW (HEY OH) RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS
5 BY THE WAY RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS

Kings Of Leon

And last, but by no means least, we turn our attentions to Kings Of Leon, who are set to bring the annual Isle Of Wight Festival to a close on Sunday night. And their biggest selling UK download to date is of course (drumroll)… Sex On Fire!

The track became the Followill brothers, and their cousin Matthew’s first and only British chart topping single in 2008, and it is also the biggest selling rock download of all time. It’s follow up, Use Somebody, is at Number 2 on our countdown, while Radioactive from 2010’s Come Around Sundown takes third place.

Fans, from their first UK Number 1 album, Because Of The Times, is at Number 4, while Revelry, which peaked at Number 29 in 2009, rounds off the Top 5.

1 SEX ON FIRE KINGS OF LEON
2 USE SOMEBODY KINGS OF LEON

4 FANS KINGS OF LEON
5 REVELRY KINGS OF LEON
6 ON CALL KINGS OF LEON
7 CLOSER KINGS OF LEON
