Beyoncé and Taylor Swift were among the big winners at this year's Grammy Awards, with Beyoncé setting a new record as the most-awarded woman in Grammys history.

Beyoncé collected her 28th Grammy for Black Parade as Best R&B Performance; a song that celebrates black power and resilience.

"As an artist, I believe it's my job to reflect the times, and it's been such a difficult time," she said as she was presented with the award. "So I wanted to uplift, encourage, celebrate all of the beautiful black queens and kings that continue to inspire me and inspire the world".

Beyoncé overtakes Alison Krauss as the most-awarded female artist at the Grammys, while the star now equals producer Qunicy Jones' total of 28 Grammys. The only musician with more is classical conductor Sir Georg Solti, with 31.

Meanwhile, Taylor Swift also made history as the first female artist to win the coveted Album of the Year award three times, picking up the prize for her eighth album Folkore, released last July. Taylor's previous records to be awared the gong are Fearless in 2010 and 1989 in 2016.

It was a night of firsts for the Grammys, now in its 63rd year. Beyoncé was part of another historic moment as Megan Thee Stallion's Savage (Remix) - which includes a guest verse from the star - became the first female artist to win the best rap song award, while Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande's Rain On Me won became the first all-female collaboration to ever win Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.

Elsewhere, Harry Styles won Best Pop Solo Performance for Watermelon Sugar, which he performed on the night, Dua Lipa's Future Nostalgia won Best Pop Vocal Album and critics' favourite Fiona Apple won Best Alternative Album for Fetch The Bolt Cutters.

Congratulations to Taylor on her third AOTY win! :D

I'm still shocked that The Weeknd didn't even get a nomination for anything though.

Yes especially Blinding lights. Clearly they are biased in their decision making when it comes to these awards

There's definitely something suspicious about it when he had the biggest song of last year & maybe even the biggest album of last year too. :/
