Derek Ryan to release 12th studio album Soft Ground

Derek Ryan has announced details of his 12th studio album Soft Ground, to be released on October 15.

Soft Ground will be released via independent label Sharpe Music, home to fellow country singers Nathan Carter and Lisa McHugh.

"I’ve poured my heart and soul into the writing and recording of this album and I’m really proud of it," Nathan told his fans on social media. "I can’t wait for everyone to hear it."

The lead single from Soft Ground titled Wherever You're Going was a Top 10 hit on the Official Irish Homegrown Chart, going in at Number 9 last October.

In December 2020, Derek's first holiday album The Road to Christmas became his eighth Top 50 record on the Official Irish Albums Chart. Derek has previously scored two Number 1 albums with The Simple Things (2014) and One Good Night (2015).
