Ariana Grande's eternal sunshine holds tight with second week at Number 1

Ariana Grande continues to soak up that eternal sunshine, securing a second week atop the Official Albums Chart. 

Ariana’s seventh studio album last week joined Dangerous Woman (2016), Sweetener (2018), thank u, next (2019) and Positions (2020) to become her fifth UK chart-topper. Ariana’s 2013 debut Yours Truly peaked at Number 7, with 2014 follow-up My Everything charting at Number 3.  

It’s a career-best for Texan country star Kacey Musgraves this week, as her sixth studio collection Deeper Well debuts at Number 3. Previously, Kacey enjoyed Official Albums Chart success with 2013’s Same Trailer Different Park (39), 2015’s Pageant Material (11), 2018’s Golden Hour (6) and 2021’s star-crossed (10). 

Deeper Well also tops the Official Vinyl Albums Chart, and Number 1 on the Official Record Store Chart making it the best seller in UK independent record shops this week.

Justin Timberlake’s sixth studio release Everything I Thought I Was becomes his sixth solo Top 5 album (5), now sitting alongside 2002 debut Justified (1), 2006’s FutureSex/LoveSounds (1), 2013’s The 20/20 Experience (1) and The 20/20 Experience – 2 of 2 (2) and 2018’s Man of the Woods (2) in his discography. 

Congratulations are in order for Caity Baser, who celebrates her first-ever Top 10 album with Still Learning (7). The Southampton-born, Brighton-based BRITs Rising Star nominee joined Jess Iszatt on The Record Club with Bowers & Wilkins this week – watch or listen back via the podcast here

Manchester-born rapper Nemzzz secures his first Official Albums Chart appearance with debut LP DO NOT DISTURB (17).

Finally, The Black CrowesHappiness Bastards earns them an eighth Top 40 record (31). The Atlanta-formed rock outfit previously achieved Top 40 success with 1991’s Shake Your Money Maker (36), The Southern Harmony And Musical Companion (2), Amorica (8), Three Snakes And One Charm (17), By Your Side (34), Live At The Greek (39) and Lions (37).
