Adele’s 30 scores a second week at Number 1 on this week’s Official Irish Albums Chart, denying Westlife the top spot.

30 comfortably holds its place at the summit, meaning Westlife’s new album Wild Dreams settles for second place. It’s only the group’s third of 14 albums (including greatest hits collections) to miss Number 1 in Ireland – 2004’s Allow Us To Be Frank and 2009’s Where We Are also debuted at Number 2.

Adele still has a firm grip over the chart as her previous albums 25 (15), 21 (25) both feature in this week’s Top 50.

Classical album Happy Together by Andre Rieu & The Johann Strauss Orchestra zooms 11 places to Number 19, while Irish artist Tommy Fleming re-enters at 32 with his 17th album All These Years following the launch of his new tour.

Further down, there are two new entries in this week’s Top 50: Gary Barlow’s festive collection The Dream Of Christmas at Number 34, and Cork singer Jack O’Rourke’s Wild Place – his first full-length release in five years - at Number 40.
