I hope that after all the Christmas songs have had it's time on the chart that 'Diamonds' will go to the Top 10 because a few songs that had lower peaks before last year like 'This Is Real which peaked at #18 then several weeks after the Christmas songs came out of the charts it peaked at #8 so I hope the same thing happens to 'Diamonds' as more people go back to their usual music.

Mariah Carey set for her FIFTH number two hit and her previous four number twos were the same song

Finally, Ellie Goulding has charted again with "River" but I highly doubt it is going to help her album 'Brightest Blue' revive.

That fall for Giants hurts me.

'Positions' in a sixth week at Number 1 and the annual arrival of old Christmas songs to clog up the entire chart. The only positive I can see is Midnight Sky gaining again.

Mariah's new Christmas single is coming on December 4th Mark the date

So many Christmas songs, and yet still no sign of Christmas Without You from Ava Max

I really hope 'Diamonds' doesn't drop that high from 17 to 60, it will probably drop to the Top 25 or something. I assume that this song could be performed on another show to further promote the song so it can hopefully allow it to have a new chart peak on the Top 10 once some Christmas songs have come off the charts. It that Christmas songs have to affect everyday songs, but once them festive songs have come off the charts then it gains potentially a new Peak, so I am certain that 'Diamonds' could go on the Top 10 soon.

Lmao. Don't know what it is about him. Can't take to him at all. I know loads of people think otherwise but would be boring if we all liked the same.

Can’t call Sam Smith “him”, it’s “they” 🤣🤣 What is that all about!! Don’t think much of “they” either. His self pitying in lockdown put me off.

'they' is the eqivelant of 'he', as both are subject pronouns, but 'him' is an obect pronoun, and its third person plural equivelant is 'them' rather than 'they', so you would need to say 'don't think much of them' rather than 'don't think much of they'.

I’ll give her 7 rings! ;)

avatar

The fact that 7 Rings has been #1 and Mariah hasn't 🤦‍♂️

avatar

Mariah’s been #1 twice actually, but not with her best & most famous hit, which is just sad. :/

They're not really "sales" though are they but playlist stats. Anyway, whatever we all deserve a Christmas because it's been a hard year

avatar

Piran

Oh yeah, by “chart sales”, I mean mainly “streams”! :P

YEEES finally i hope she gets what she deserved after all these years

Think it is pretty certain now, question is can it hold on until Xmas for Xmas no.1 too!
Hope Shane Codd can survive the Xmas rush and get a huge hit in January.
Also pleased to see Griff 'love is a compass' having a great gain this week, loved her previous track 'say it again' and this has a Xmas feel and Disney backing so hopefully will be her break through hit
