Popstars Miley Cyrus (born Destiny Hope Cyrus on November 23, 1992 in Franklin, Tennessee) and Dua Lipa (born August 25, 1995 in London) united for the 2020 single Prisoner, the second song released from Miley's seventh studio album Plastic Hearts on November 19, 2020. Prisoner was produced by GRAMMY nominee Andrew Watt and production & songwriting collective The Monsters & Strangerz. Miley Cyrus performed Prisoner numerous times on the likes of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, The Howard Stern Show, Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest and the 2021 Super Bowl with TikTok Tailgate. Prisoner peaked at Number 8 on the UK's Official Singles Chart, Number 13 on Australia's ARIA Singles Chart, and Number 54 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States. Prisoner was later included on The Moonlight Edition of Dua Lipa's UK Number 1 album Future Nostalgia.
