Fans of X Factor 2016 finalists 5 After Midnight don't have long to wait to hear new music from the trio - their new single is out next month.

Kieran, Jordan and Nathan's debut single will be released on June 2 and is called Up In Here. The song - described in a press release as an "upbeat smash anthem" - features an "impossibly catchy hook" by rapper DMX.

The team behind the track are no strangers to writing big hits; singer and producer MNEK, is one of the track's writers and is the man behind Little Mix's Touch, The Saturdays' All Fired Up and more.

Raye also put pen to paper on the song. She recently hit the headlines for being shortlisted as part of the BBC's Sound Of 2017 competition and featured on Jax Jones' Number 3 hit You Don't Know Me.

"We're so so so excited for the next stage of 5 After Midnight's journey," said 5 After Midnight in a statement. "We've been working with some incredible artists like MNEK and Raye who have really inspired us and helped us to grow.

"We can't wait to show the world what we've been working on and hope everyone loves it as much as we do."

5 After Midnight finished third on last year's X Factor behind runner-up Saara Aalto and the series winner Matt Terry. 5 After Midnight were signed to Simon Cowell's Syco music label shortly afterwards and join the roster that includes Little Mix and Ella Henderson.
