If one man can topple Star Wars, it's the legendary Quentin Tarantino.

The Hateful Eight, the eighth movie entirely written and directed by QT, is leading the way on the Official Video Chart Update. Outselling Star Wars: The Force Awakens by over two copies to one, the Kurt Russell and Samuel L. Jackson western has scored sales of 63,000 at the midweek stage.

Last week's Number 1 Star Wars: The Force Awakens dips one place to 2, Daddy's Home looks to slide one spot to 3, new entry Room starring Brie Larson is at 4 and Spectre catapults four places to complete the Top 5.

New Entries and High Climbers

Thanks to X Men: Apocalypse's impending release, the predecessor Days of Future Past bounces 10 places to Number 18, and a new entry Heroes Reborn starts at 20. The Night Manager - The Complete Series rebounds impressively too from 42 to 27.

The biggest potential leap to the Top 40 this week comes from Peter Kay's Car Share - Series 1. Following two awards wins at this year's BAFTAs last week, the first season could jump 42 places to 28.

Charlotte Crosby's 3 Minute Belly Blitz jumps 22 places to 29, Alice in Wonderland climbs six places to 31 in preparation for the sequel's cinema release and Home Fires - Series Two is a new entry at 34.
