After knocking Justin Bieber off the top spot in a close race last week, Shawn Mendes is strengthening his grip on the Official Singles Chart as Stitches heads for a second week at Number 1.

The track leads the way on today’s Official Chart Update just over 6,000 combined sales ahead of its closest rival, Justin Bieber’s Love Yourself, which currently holds at Number 2.

Meanwhile, London-based produced Jonas Blue has charged into the Top 5 with his remix of Tracy Champman’s 1988 classic Fast Car, leaping 58 places to sit at Number 3 at the halfway stage of the chart week. Can he climb all the way to the top by Friday’s Official Chart?
