The Official Chart: First Look, which is broadcast on BBC Radio 1 today between 6pm – 7pm, offers a first glance of the Top 20 ahead of Friday’s Official Singles Chart Top 100. The chart is based on preliminary sales and early streaming reports.

Here's how the week is shaping up so far:

Shawn Mendes & Camila Cabello’s Senorita is set to hang on to Number 1 for a fifth week.

Kygo & Whitney Houston could enter the Top 5 with Higher Love, currently up six places to Number 3 – which would be Kygo’s highest-ever charting single.

Sam Smith’s How Do You Sleep? is up five places to Number 7 and could potentially become Sam’s 11th UK Top 10.

There could be brand new peaks for Joel Corry’s Sorry (14), Castles by Freya Ridings (17) and Lil Tecca with Ransom (20)

So I Don't Care and Bad Guy have returned to ACR, hence the drop and no longer in the top 20 respectively. Interesting that Old Town Road is above I Don't Care...

Higher Love totally deserves number 1. An amazing song, which I don't say very often regarding songs at the top of the chart these days, and it'd be wonderful to have another posthumous number 1 single. Last time that happened was in 2007 with Eva Cassidy I'm pretty sure.

Having Whitney Houston scoring another number 1 single in the next few weeks will be amazing! As much as i like SAM SMITH, his new single doesn't deserve to be his 11th top 10!! it is awful and very boring!!

‘Senorita’ seems so consistent that it could honestly get to 8 or 9 weeks at #1 & even become the longest ruling song of 2019 so far! :)

‘Higher Love’ gaining again was very pleasant to see.

Senorita is declining in streams (albeit slowly) and so is likely to hit ACR after 9 weeks and so probably will not become the longest ruling song of the year.

I think ACR is a minimum of 10 weeks rather than 9.

I believe the longest #1 of the year so far is 'I Don't Care' at 8 weeks anyway.

ACR can first occur on the 10th week, if streams have declined in weeks 7-9. So it may get two more weeks at no.1, but then ACR will likely let something else overtake it - unless its streams increase...

We'll see if it can get some boost in Weeks 7-9. Not sure where it would come though, but I'm still happy it's got at least a month at #1! :D
