Olivia Rodrigo announces new song Vampire: Release date, artwork and more
Olivia Rodrigo has announced details of her brand-new song Vampire, set to be the first single lifted from her upcoming second studio album.
Revealing Vampire's artwork on social media, the American singer-songwriter said: "my new song vampire is out june 30th! you can presave now. so excited for this ahhhhh!!!!!!!".
Back in May 2021, Olivia became the youngest solo artist ever to achieve the rare Official Chart Double; topping the Official Singles and Official Albums Chart simultaneously with respective releases drivers licence and SOUR.
Just 18 years and 3 months old at the time of scoring the feat, Olivia also became the first artist in six years to claim the Official Chart Double with their debut LP, since Sam Smith’s In The Lonely Hour (album) and Lay Me Down (single) in 2015.
Fans were obviously over the moon with the announcement of Vampire, too, with one excitedly commenting: "WAKE UP NO MORE LIV DROUGHT." Another rather impatiently added: "And drop new album next month pls".
Can't say we'd be opposed to that, to be honest.
Earlier this year, Olivia revealed she already has a title for her upcoming second studio album.
Speaking to Billboard, she said: "I have a title for my next album and a few songs. It’s really exciting to think about the next world that’s coming up for me. I just love writing songs. I’m trying not to put too much pressure on myself…just sort of explore and have fun right now."
Olivia Rodrigo's new single Vampire will be released June 30.
