The Military Wives Choir have revealed that they will release their debut album next month.

The group, who were put together by choirmaster Gareth Malone for the BBC TV show The Choir, will release the follow-up to their huge-selling 2011 Christmas Number 1 single, Wherever You Are, on March 5.

Entitled In My Dreams, the album takes its name from a brand new track written for The Military Wives Choir by Royal Wedding composer Paul Mealor who also composed Wherever You Are. In addition, the album will also feature a choral reworking of Adele’s moving ballad, Make You Feel My Love.

In related news, the Official Charts Company can reveal today that Wherever You Are is the fastest-selling UK charity single of the 21st Century and also the fastest-selling single since Sir Elton John’s 1997 hit, Candle In The Wind.

www.theofficialcharts.com caught up with members of The Military Wives Choir and Gareth Malone at London’s In And Out Club earlier today (Monday, February 6) as they presented a cheque for £ 503,985, which was generated from sales of Wherever You Are, to representatives of armed forces charities The Royal British Legion and SSAFA Forces Help.
