Meat Loaf’s Bat Out Of Hell rockets to Number 1 on the Official Irish Albums Chart, following the entertainer’s death last week aged 74.

With the highest sales figures of the week across both physical and digital download, the larger-than-life star’s classic 1977 debut album finishes ahead of our second Meat Loaf entry, greatest hits collection Hits Out Of Hell (2) which is the most-streamed album of the week in Ireland.

This week’s highest new entry is Years & Years’ Night Call, debuting at Number 19. Olly Alexander’s first album as a solo artist, this marks his third Top 20 album in Ireland, following 2015’s Communion and 2018’s Palo Santo.

Following the confirmation of new tour dates including one at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium, Harry Styles sees both of his albums fly up the Irish Albums Chart; 2019’s Fine Line rises 11 to Number 8, while 2017’s Harry Styles rockets to Number 38.
