Las Vegas: at least 50 people killed at country music festival near the Mandalay Bay Hotel
At least 50 people have been killed and 200 injured after a mass shooting at a Las Vegas music festival.
The gunman, named as 64-year-old Stephen Paddock, was shot dead by police he opened fire on crowds at a country music festival Route 91 on the Nevada city's famous strip from a nearby hotel.
The attack is the deadliest shooting in US history.
Videos on social media show hundreds of people fleeing the scene and the sound of what appears to be automatic gunfire can be heard.

Donald Trump has responded to news of the attack, writing: "My warmest condolences and sympathies to the victims and families of the terrible Las Vegas shooting. God bless you!"
Route 91 is a three-day country music festival. This year's headliners included Sam Hunt, Erich Church and Jason Aldean. Aldean described the situation as "beyond horrific" in a post on Instagram:
