Lana Del Rey en-route to highest new entry with Say Yes To Heaven, Kylie Minogue's Padam Padam eyes Top 40 debut

The previously unreleased cut is blowing up across socials, proving Lana is more powerful than ever.

Lana Del Rey looks to have struck gold by opening the vaults of her unreleased music – with Say Yes To Heaven on track for this week’s highest new entry (6). If it maintains momentum it would be Lana’s first solo Top 10 single in the UK since Born To Die in 2012.

The track - co-written and produced by Lana's frequent collaborator Rick Nowels - was originally intended for inclusion on Ultraviolence, before being scrapped, before also missing out on spots on Honeymoon and Lust For Life.

It's now been released thanks to a surge of support for the leaked demo across TikTok, and its unparalleled success could signal to Lana that other unreleased tracks that have also gone viral in the past (Meet Me In The Pale Moonlight, Go Go Dancer, Queen of Disaster) could be worth properly releasing too. (Hopefully).

There’s still no sign of Calvin Harris & Ellie Goulding slowing down just yet. Miracle continues to fend off the competition and hold on for a prospective seventh non-consecutive week at Number 1 in the UK.

Just one week after scoring her solo debut Top 20 entry, Irish dance vocalist Jazzy is heading for the Top 10 with Giving Me (10). This would be her second career Top 10 entry, she was featured last year on Belters Only’s Top 5 smash Make Me Feel Good.

Rudimental’s Dancing Is Healing could score the influential British trio their highest chart position since 2018 (17).

And finally, just outside the First Look Top 20 rides the undisputed Princess of Pop Kylie Minogue who is back with new single Padam Padam (21). The electro song has caused quite the stir among her fans, and if the early buzz continues it could well be Kylie’s highest entry on the Official Singles Chart in almost a decade, since 2014’s Into The Blue which reached Number 12.

Whoever you’re backing in this week’s race, you’ve got until 23.59pm Thursday to get behind your favourite. The final Official Chart Top 100 will be published at 5.45pm Friday on officialcharts.com, with the Top 40 counted down exclusively on BBC Radio 1’s The Official Chart with Jack Saunders from 4pm.

I'll give Jazzy this, 'Giving Me' is definitely an improvement from 'Make Me Feel Good'.

If 'make me feel good' was released at any other time of the year it would have been no.1 and most likely for a long time too preventing many of the other tracks being no.1! Crazy it was one of the biggest tracks of the year yet peaked at no.3. I really love 'Giving me' good vibes

I think that's the first time ever. I may be a bit out of date, but pretty sure it never happened in the physical era. At most you'd get the UK entry and the winner somewhere on the chart (including all the way down to #75), sometimes at least one of them would fail to chart at all.
