Justice League is storming to Number 1 on the Official Video Chart.

120,000 DVD and Blu-ray units of the DC superhero movie have been picked up since its home entertainment release on Monday (March 26). The figure means that the Gal Gadot and Ben Affleck-starring film is outselling the rest of the Top 20 combined on today’s Official Chart Update.

One of Justice League's predecessors, Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice, topped the Official Video Chart for two weeks in the summer of 2016, with first week sales of 236,000. Wonder Woman also reached Number 1 back in October 2017 with 189,000.

Elsewhere in the Top 5, two-week chart topper Paddington 2 drops a slot to Number 2, Wonder starring Julia Roberts and Owen Wilson is a new entry at Number 3, ahead of former Number 1 Thor: Ragnarok (4).

New entries and high climbers

Series 7 of BBC's Call the Midwife is new at Number 9 in this week's Chart Update, one position ahead of classic Doctor Who story The Enemy Of The World (10), a lost episode featuring the second Doctor that was found after being missing for 40 years.

Ethan Hawke action flick 24 Hours to Live is a prospective new entry into the Top 40 at 21, ahead of LEGO DC Super Heroes: The Flash at Number 24. Sky Atlantic series Britannia is also a fresh entry at Number 28, while Shetland: The Complete Series 4 lands at 32.

Finally, Emma Stone and Steve Carell's Battle of the Sexes is new at Number 33, with Lost in the Pacific rounding out the new entries at Number 34.
