I moved to GHR with Ken Bruce for Popmaster and my BBC boycott.

There are some surprises in this list. I've argued that Madonna is not popular this century before, but I didn't think her record was this bad! Just one record in the top 300 and none in the top 200, beaten by obscurities like the Little Mermaid. Queen by contrast have 15 in the top 300 and 2 in the top 10 - one of 3 acts to achieve that feat. No big new music this century to speak of, and it seems, according to this list, little interest in her peak-era catalogue music either. There are a few that would call 2000-onwards in the list rather than up to 90's (Toploader - Dancing In The Moonlight; Darude - Sandstorm). May well be recorded in 1999 but not a UK hit until 2000. Even Goo Goo Dolls - Iris. A minor hit in 1998/9 not reaching the top 20 until the 21st century.

No need to check Official Charts for the full list after the broadcast, it's available in full on GHR website now.

Are you sure you're looking at the right list? I could only find this one from October 2022: planetradio.co.uk/greatest-hits/station/on-air/top-300-streaming-chart/

In case that page disappears, here's the OC's list of that 2022 chart's top 40: www.officialcharts.com/chart-news/the-uks-official-top-300-most-streamed-songs-of-the-70s-80s-and-90s-revealed__37690/

Will be interesting to see what difference eighteen months will make, especially for Kate Bush's Running Up That Hill.
