The six contenders hoping to represent the United Kingdom at this year's Eurovision Song Contest in Stockholm have been revealed; and among them are a former rivals from The Voice and a song co-written by Leona Lewis.

The acts were revealed today (Feb 22) on BBC Radio 2, and will compete to enter the competition for the UK on Eurovision: You Decide this Friday (Feb 26), live on BBC Four. Listen to the six songs hoping to make it through below:

Joe and Jake - You're Not Alone

These former Voice UK contestants - Joe Woolford and Jake Shakeshaft - have formed a pop duo and are hoping to send You're Not Alone to this year's contest.

"We feel seriously honoured to be one of six acts shortlisted to represent the UK in this year's Eurovision Song Contest," they said. "We want to do everyone proud, whether you're watching at home or cheering from overseas.

"We look at our favourite Eurovision acts like Måns Zelmerlöw and Loreen, and would love nothing more than for the UK to smash it like them. It's time we looked like proper contenders in Eurovision again, don't you think?"

QUIZ: How much do you know about the Eurovision Song Contest?

Bianca - Shine A Little Light

Eagle-eyed pop fans might recognise Bianca - she was once a member of girl band Parade (refresh your memory with their brief chart history here). Listen to her entry, co-written by Leona Lewis, below:

Dulcima And Tom - When You Go

Next up are Dulcima And Tom with their Euro folk-pop track When You Go. The song was written by Tomas Twyman, who Dulcima met while busking on the streets of Canterbury.

Matthew James - A Better Man

Matthew was once part of '90s boyband Bad Boys Inc, who scored a string of Top 40s in '93-'94. He's entering Eurovision: You Decide with his offering A Better Man:

Darline - Until Tomorrow

Darline are a country pop duo comprising of Abby Inez and Càra Beth Beard from Hertfordshire. They supported The Shires on their UK tour and cite Lady Antebellum, Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift among their influences.

Karl William Lund - Miracle

29 year-old singer-songwriter Karl hails from Liverpool and wrote his entry Miracle while working in Greece as part of a Beatles tribute act(!). Have a listen below:

Eurovision: You Decide will be broadcast live on February 26 on BBC Four, hosted by actress/comedian/Great British Bake Off veteran Mel Giedroyc.

The last time the UK's entry went to a public vote was in 2010 on Eurovision: Your Country Needs You. The winning act was Josh Dubovie's That Sounds Good To Me. Helmed by '80s pop super producers Pete Waterman, Mike Stock and Steve Crosby, the song finished - erm - last place, securing just 10 points.
