Conor Maynard returns with Storage: First Listen

Since claiming a chart-topping album with his debut Contrast in 2012, Conor Maynard's proven himself to be one of the country's most enduring talents. Now the seventh most-followed UK music account on TikTok, Conor's unique covers rack up millions of views as he continues to recruit new fans and cement himself as a social media staple.

This week, Conor unleashes his latest cut Storage. It's a soaring break-up song that sees him at possibly his most vulnerable yet, and he's given us a sneaky First Listen ahead of its release.

"I wish I never took the time to learn the details, what I should pick up for you when you didn't feel well..."

From the off, Conor's vocals are totally unguarded; his voice exposed as he details a relationship gone wrong. 

"Still have the messages from that first day that we talked, I swear that pink-hearted emoji was your trademark...But now it feels like all you left was useless information in my head. I can't believe the way it went."

This might be the most raw we've ever heard Conor lyrically. Writing from a position of denial, he's clearly struggling to come to terms with his lost love.

Then comes the heartbreaking chorus.

"I'm lying all alone, I can't seem to fall asleep inside my home, 'cause all I see is you and me. Wish I could ignore it, the memories and forfeit, the pain this is causing me now.

"Wish I could ignore it, 'cause it's not important. Please rid of me of all of it now, 'cause I'm out of storage."

Storage is a track that truly showcases Conor's emotive vocal power, and if this is a taste of what's to come from his upcoming release, we're in for a treat.
