Barbie claims fifth week as the UK’s Official Number 1 film

Plus some deadly brand new entries enter the Top 10.
Still from the Barbie movie

Greta Gerwig’s Barbie claims a fifth non-consecutive week at Number 1 on the Official Film Chart.

Holding on to its position from last week, the Barbie party defeats Poirot murder mystery A Haunting in Venice (2), starring and directed by Kenneth Branagh, and former Number 1 Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part 1 (3).

Our second brand new entry of the week is the latest instalment in the iconic SAW horror series, SAW X, debuting at Number 6. Set between the events of SAW I and II, John Kramer – sick, desperate and looking for a cure – heads to Mexico for experimental treatment, but finds out the operation is a scam to defraud vulnerable people. As a result he gains a new purpose, and gets back to ‘work’ on his twisted life-or-death traps.

Dropping this week are Meg 2: The Trench (4), Gran Turismo (5) and Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny (7) all drop one place. Witchy 90s comedy Practical Magic (8) lifts one place following Halloween, and The Super Mario Bro. Movie finishes the week at Number 9.

Finally, modern cult favourite M3GAN is back in the Top 10, following a lift in sales in Halloween week. It rounds out this week’s countdown at Number 10.
