Avatar: The Way of Water soars back to Number 1 on the Official Film Chart

Avatar: The Way Of Water flies back up to Number 1 on the Official Film Chart, earning a sixth non-consecutive week at the top.

Lifting an impressive 13 places this week following its release on DVD, Blu-ray, Blu-ray 3D and 4K UHD, could this be the beginning of another several-week run at the top of the charts?

This means the Fast & Furious franchise’s latest chapter, Fast X drops to Number 2, following its Number 1 debut last week, while John Wick: Chapter 4 (3), animated adventure The Super Mario Bros. Movie (4), Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse (5) and Russel Crowe horror The Pope’s Exorcist (6) all move down one place.

Former chart topper Dune also whisks back into the Top 10 this week, up 15 places to Number 7 following the release of the second trailer for its sequel, Dune: Part 2 which is set for release in November.

Another James Cameron directed title, romantic drama Titanic - starring Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio, enters the Top 10 for the first time this week, up four to Number 8, while Top Gun: Maverick holds tight at Number 9. Finally, rounding off the Top 10 Is Adam Driver in action-adventure 65.
