Ariana Grande collects sixth week at Irish Singles Number 1, Picture This claim their second Top 10 hit with Everything Or Nothing

Ariana Grande refuses to shift from the top of the Official Irish Singles Chart.

thank u, next, the Floridian’s second Number 1 of 2018, spends a sixth week in pole position. With her new single Imagine out today, could Ariana replace herself at Number 1 and claim the coveted Christmas Number 1 on next week’s chart?

Elsewhere in the Top 5, Mark Ronson & Miley Cyrus’ Nothing Breaks Like A Heart climbs seven to a new peak of Number 4, and Post Malone’s Sunflower ft. Swae Lee returns to its Number 5 personal best.

New entries and high climbers

Picture This claim this week’s highest new entry with Everything Or Nothing; the second cut from their upcoming sophomore album MDRN LV, it enters at Number 7, marking their second Top 10 hit and 9th Top 50 appearance.

Three more new entries impact this week’s chart. Two songs from deceased rapper XXXTentacion - Whoa (Mind in Awe) (18), Guardian Angel (26) – debut to take his Top 50 hits total to 12 (while previous single Bad! returns at Number 27), and Grace from BRIT Award Critics’ Choice nominee Lewis Capaldi sneaks in at Number 49.

Charity single Lean On Me from Colman’s Stand Together is a big climber this week, cracking the Top 20 at 17, up 10 places.

Finally, nine Christmas tracks flood the Top 50. They are: Mariah Carey’s All I Want For Christmas Is You (9); Fairytale of New York from The Pogues ft. Kirsty MacColl (10); Wham!’s Last Christmas (15); Do They Know It’s Christmas by Band Aid (25); Brenda Lee’s Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree (31); It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas by Michael Buble (33); Ariana Grande’s Santa Tell Me (38); John & Yoko’s Happy Xmas (War is Over) (43); and Driving Home For Christmas from Chris Rea (48).
