Adele says throat surgery was a success

Adele has updated fans on her health after undergoing laser microsurgery on her vocal cords in the US last week. 

In a brief post on her official blog, the 23-year-old BRIT Award winning singer thanked fans for their support and joked that until she’s fully recovered, she’ll be practicing her miming.

“I’m doing really well, on the mend, super happy, relaxed and very positive with it all,” she wrote. “The operation was a success and I’m just chilling out [in Boston] until I get the all clear from my doctors. Thank you to everyone who voted for the awards I’ve won recently as well. Hugely appreciated. I best get back to practicing my mime show now.”
