PP ARNOLD

PP Arnold (born Patricia Ann Cole on October 3, 1946) in Los Angeles, California and is an American soul singer. PP Arnold was already a mum of two when she was invited to audition to be one of the Ikettes, backing singers for Ike and Tina Turner in 1965. PP Arnold left the Ikettes after a tour with The Rolling Stones, and enjoyed a host of hit songs written for her by Small Faces, and The Stones, repaying the compliment and singing backing vocals on their numbers too.

PP Arnold has also worked and had hits with Beatmasters, Barry Gibb, Eric Clapton, Steel Pulse and Ocean Colour Scene, and her son Kodzo is also a music director for Jess Glynne and Jessie J as well as for his mum. Image: Chris Morris/Pymca/Shutterstock.
