All the songs set to go up are lovely,

Wish 6ix9ine would be out of the Top 10 by Friday, he'll be releasing another song also, we can't have two .

Hope "Daises" can shoot Katy Up, like never really over.

The entire Top 5 is awesome. DaBaby is fire, same with Drake, and Doja Cat has one of the best songs this year, no cap. And thank Powfu for getting lofi hip-hop into the Top 40 (Death Bed (Coffee For Your Head))

Though I simply wanted Jack Harlow in the Top 40 and 6ix9ine didn’t fall fast enough. Looks to be a quiet week for debuts as well - as for Daisies, way better than Never Really Over, but I don’t see it on my lists. I also hope What A Man Gotta Do falls, not only is it mediocre at best but I’m tired of it.

Nice to see 'Breaking Me' hit the Top 20 after all. Called it yesterday! :)

Let's just hope 'Don't Need Love' can join it there now.

Disappointed that no Eurovision songs are set to chart, but given that they hardly get any streams these days, I'm also not surprised either!

Same, happy that EDM songs are rising, but they aren't as good as songs from 2013-2014 with one-hit wonders and artists such as Avicii and Disclosure!

avatar

Piran

Yeah, I remember when EDM songs by unknown artists would debut straight in at #1!

We've only had one this year ('Roses') & that was a remix of a hip-hop song, while 2019 didn't give us any dance chart-toppers whatsoever.

Yeah, songs like 'My Love' and 'Look Right Through'! I was only 9 then though, made me love the genre!

avatar

Piran

2

Oh wow... so you'd still only be something like 16 now then?

I've been a fan of the genre all my life, so that's what made the early 2010's so awesome for me! :D

Yeah I'm 15, I heard 'White Noise' which became my favourite song of all time, (now replaced by Cola and I Feel it Coming) I really like upbeat songs, my favourite genres are EDM and synthpop. I come here because I like pop culture and statistics!

Just looked around and if I’m honest it looks to be a stagnant week. I hope the Top 5 songs hold up though. Absolute tunes. :)

Hey, as long as the charts aren't stagnant for too long & the biggest songs are all good, then I have no complaints either! :D

Eurovision?? Did it happen? I thought it was cancelled.

Piran

Haha, I love pop & statistics too! :D

You might've seen me recommend this to everyone beforehand, but in case you haven't, this is my favourite EDM song of the year so far: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_X--xYexBdI

Not the contest itself, but they did 'Europe: Shine A Light' last night, which covered all of this year's entries & former classics from the contest.

It meant that 'My Last Breath' (this year's UK entry) & 'Love Shine A Light' (the most recent UK winner) re-entered the Top 10 on iTunes, so I was hoping to see them at least lower down here! :/

Very low streams, I guess. They might make it by Friday though.

avatar

Piran

Sadly, if they're not getting the streams now, then they definitely won't by Friday. :/

I really hope I'm wrong though, haha!

Last year we had massive ones that were either stuck at number 2 or just missed out on the top 10!

avatar

Piran

1

Yeah, annoyingly, they either peaked at #2 on the weekly chart or just outside the Top 10 on the yearly chart. Take 'Piece Of Your Heart' for example! :P

R

Riley

1

Exactly! It’s happened awhile now. Winter 2018 Just Got paid and back & forth (my favourite song off all time) just missed the top 10 then turn me on and lose control did last year!

avatar

Piran

Yeah, why couldn't they get just a couple of places higher? :P
