SAINT JHN

Saint Jhn is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer of Guyanese descent, who was born Carlos St. John on August 26, 1986 in Brooklyn, New York. Saint Jhn started releasing songs under his birth name in 2010, and was spotted by music bigwig Zach Katz who flew him out to Los Angeles to write some songs for Rihanna. Saint Jhn’s efforts didn’t quite happen for Ri-Ri, so he moved back home and was soon penning songs for the likes of Kiesza, Gorgon City, Usher and Nico & Vinz. Saint Jhn issued his first song, 1999, under his Saint Jhn moniker in 2016, and has the unique situation of making his UK Official Singles Chart debut with mother and daughter duo Beyoncé and Blue Ivy Carter on Brown Skin Girl in 2019 from The Lion King. Saint Jhn’s 2016 song Roses, reswizzled by Kazakh musician and producer Imanbek Zeykenov, became his first UK Official Singles Chart Number 1 in March 2020.
