In case you missed it, Harry Styles is releasing his debut solo single this month.

A rather dramatic trailer showing Harry coming out of the darkness and into the light aired during The Voice last month, March 5. The end of the advert revealed the date April 7, the release day for his new single Sign Of The Times.

UPDATE: BBC Radio 1 have since confirmed they will premiere the track on Friday morning (April 7), during Nick Grimshaw's breakfast show.

Harry Styles unveiled the artwork for his debut solo single on March 31. The track, called Sign Of The Times, will be released on April 7.

Harry also posted a trio of blank white images on his Instagram page, marking his return to social media for the first time in six months, since he revealed the three covers from his Another Man magazine shoot.

It was previously reported that Harry's solo debut will have a timeless "British rock" sound to it, with Hits Daily Double claiming that the star's album is produced entirely by Jeff Bhasker, who has worked with a huge range of artists including Kanye West, Rolling Stones and Pink, as well as co-producing Mark Ronson's Uptown Funk.

The site also reported the record will have a "'70s British rock" sound to it similar to Bowie and Queen, while the lead single "sounds like it would be a smash in any decade".

Harry has been one of the slower members of One Direction when it comes to turning out solo material. Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson have both released Top 10 singles, while former member Zayn released his chart-topping debut album last year.

UPDATE: It has now been announced that Harry will launch his solo career with a performance on US TV show Saturday Night Live on April 15, where he will appear alongside host Jimmy Fallon.
