Bring a bucket and a mop!

Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion are finally giving people what they want...a WAP sequel.

The two rap superstars - who both claimed their first UK Number 1 singles with their very hot and heavy team-up in 2020 - are not waiting around either, with brand new track Bongos set to arrive this Friday (September 8).

It's slated to start the run-up to Cardi's long-awaited second album, the follow-up to influential debut album Invasion of Privacy, which hit Number 5 on the Official Albums Chart and contained the Top 10 single I Like It with Bad Bunny and J Balvin.

It's been five years since Invasion of Privacy dropped in 2018, and Cardi has released a few start-stop droplet tracks, such as 2021's frantic Up (26 - but a Number 1 hit in the US)and last year's Kanye West-featuring Hot Sh*t (which peaked outside the Top 40).

Of course, WAP was one of the biggest hits of the pandemic era (honestly, a time we'd all rather forget) -  going exceedingly viral when everyone was stuck inside and just dreaming of throwing it back in the club. As we mentioned previously, WAP was both Cardi and Megan's first (and, so far, only) UK Number 1 single, and it stayed at the top of the Official Singles Chart for three weeks.

It was also named one of the biggest songs of 2020 by Official Charts and also the most-Googled song lyrics of that year too (we mean, of course).

According to Official Charts Company data, WAP has accumulated over 1.3 million chart units in the UK, which also include a mammoth 179 million combined streams across audio and video.

Bongos drops this Friday, September 8.
