The BRIT Awards 2014: The nominations revealed in full!

Bastille and Disclosure both receive four nominations, while Ellie Goulding and Rudimental each have three. Plus: See the full list of nominees for the BRIT Awards 2014!

With just over a month to go before the 34th annual BRIT Awards take place, the nominations for this year’s awards ceremony have been revealed. Rising UK acts Bastille and Disclosure lead the charge, receiving four nominations each.

London-based quartet Bastille are up for the British Breakthrough Act, British Single (for Pompeii) and British Group awards, as well as being nominated in the MasterCard Album Of The Year category for their Number 1 album, Bad Blood.

Meanwhile, brothers Guy and Howard Lawrence, AKA Disclosure are up for British Single (for White Noise FT AlunaGeorge), British Breakthrough Act, British Group awards, and the MasterCard Album Of The Year for their Number 1 album, Settle).

Ellie Goulding, who it has been revealed will be performing live during next month’s ceremony, has received three nominations: British Female and two for British Single (for Burn and I Need Your Love with Calvin Harris). And East London crew Rudimental are also up for three: British Single (for Waiting All Night FT Ella Eyre, British Group, and MasterCard Album Of The Year (for Home).

David Bowie, who celebrated his 67th birthday yesterday (Wednesday, January 8), has been nominated in two categories – British Male Solo Artist and MasterCard Album Of The Year (for The Next Day). Bowie won his first BRIT Award 30 years ago.

As previously reported, 21-year-old singer/songwriter Sam Smith has already won the 2014 BRITs Critics Choice Award. He has also been nominated for British Single for La La La with Naughty Boy, which was the fifth biggest selling single of 2013.

The BRIT Awards 2014 will take place on February 19, at London’s O2 Arena, and will be broadcast live on ITV. It will feature live performances from Arctic Monkeys, Bastille, Rudimental, Bruno Mars, Katy Perry and Ellie Goulding.

A special nominations show, presented by BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show host Nick Grimshaw, will be broadcast later tonight on ITV (from 22:35). It will feature live performances from Rudimental, Tinie Tempah and Sam Smith.
