Ellie Goulding scores third week at Number 1, breaks streaming record

Love Me Like You Do has now beaten Uptown Funk’s UK streaming record.

Ellie Goulding’s Fifty Shades Of Grey track Love Me Like You Do continues to reign the Official Singles Chart.

With a combined chart sales figure of over 118,000 copies this week, the track scores a third consecutive week at Number 1.

Love Me Like You Do is also the most streamed track of the week and sets a new UK all-time audio streaming record, racking up 2.58 million listens in the last seven days. The previous record holder was Mark Ronson’s Uptown Funk FT Bruno Mars with a tally of 2.56 million.

Nine other songs have been streamed over one million times this week; Mark Ronson’s Uptown Funk FT Bruno Mars (2.02m), Hozier’s Take Me To Church (1.89m), The Weeknd’s Earned It (1.48m), Ed Sheeran’s Thinking Out Loud (1.38m), Sia’s Elastic Heart (1.26m), Maroon 5’s Sugar (1.20m), Avicii’s The Nights (1.02m), Philip George’s Wish You Were Mine (1.02m) and Sam Smith’s Like I Can (1.02m).

Holding firm at Number 2 today is Hozier’s Take Me To Church, which spends its 23rd week in the Top 40 this week. Click here to see the track’s full week-by-week chart run.

At Number 3 is Mark Ronson and Bruno Marsmillion-seller Uptown Funk, followed by The Weeknd’s Fifty Shades Of Grey track Earned It, up six places to 4.

Rounding out this week’s Top 5 is Rihanna, Kanye West and Paul McCartney’s collaboration FourFiveSeconds (5).

New entries

Dance trio Luvbug score their second Top 20 today with Revive (Say Something) at 17, while Taylor Swift’s new single Style climbs 29 places to make its Top 40 debut at 36.

Florence + The Machine also makes her first Top 40 appearance in over two years with new single What Kind Of Man, up 20 places to 37.

Elsewhere, David Guetta and Emeli Sande’s collaboration What I Did For Love (20) re-enters the Top 40 following its official release earlier this week. The track previously peaked at Number 24 back in December after the pair performed it on The X Factor.
