Let's get physical (copies printed). Dua Lipa has just wiped all her social media account blank, hinting that she's getting ready to unveil her third album era.

Fans noticed today that all of Dua's previous Instagram posts have been archived (although her Twitter/X posts are still there), a typical promotional strategy in the launch of a new album campaign, used by the likes of Taylor Swift during the launch of reputation and to great effect by Dua when she was preparing to drop Don't Start Now.

As of now, we have no new information available about when Dua will officially kickstart her new album campaign, but rumblings have been around for weeks that new material is about to... materialise.

Work on Dua's third album - following the Number 2 debut hit Dua Lipa (2017) and her star-making second record Future Nostalgia (2020) which became her first UK Number 1 album - has been going on four at least a year, with Dua herself starting in 2022 that she had been in the studio for work on the LP, and promised that she wouldn't be pandering to fans of her disco bops, instead Dua and her team were opting for a "hard sonic pivot."

(Which makes sense that the most disco single Dua has ever released, the Barbie anthem and UK Number 1 hit Dance The Night was written as a purposeful send up and send-off of Future Nostalgia's well-defined sonic world).

As for the people she's been working with? It's been rumoured Dua has hit the studio with Tame Impala's Kevin Parker (who we know knows his way around an album-kick off bop, thank you Perfect Illusion) and Mark Ronson (who also produced Dance The Night) has confirmed he's actually heard snippets of the new LP.

In a recent interview, Mark Ronson confirmed that the new Dua Lipa material he had heard was a "triumphant stomp" on everything that had come before.

See you soon, Dua! As a wise woman (Taylor Swift) once said, there will be no explanation, there will just be DL3...
