Dance You Outta My Head is a song released by 31 year-old mum and cancer patient, Cat Janice. 

Two years after being diagnosed with cancer, musician Cat Janice asked her TikTok followers to stream a new song she had written for her seven year-old son Loren in the hope of leaving him the proceeds.

The singer entered a hospice on 10 January 2024 and transferred all her songs to her son’s name, and she planned to release one final track – Dance You Outta My Head. 

"Everyone knows that I've been battling cancer for a while and I wanted to put this song out, and just go stream it. I hope you like it. I don't know if I'm going to be around even when the song comes out, so let's just put it out. And I did." 

Cat explained that the idea for the song “came about last spring” when she and her son were bopping around in the car, enjoying the weather. 

Writing on TikTok "My last joy would be if you pre saved my song “Dance You Outta My Head” in my bio and streamed it because all proceeds go straight to my 7 year old boy im leaving behind. Please please share this, I need to leave this with him. I hope to make it through this but if not, to all a good night." 

On 26 January 2024, Dance You Outta My Head entered the UK's Official Singles Sales Chart at Number 8, before climbing two places to Number 6 a week later.
